I like the viral message that's going around Facebook recently in which you're invited to post 25 random things about yourself and then "tag" 25 of your friends inviting them to do the same.

- I used to be very skinny.
- My alma mater, The American University, did not have a football team.
- The first gift I ever gave my future wife was a espresso maker. It confused her.
- I was an only child for 23 years.
- My Dad lives in South Africa.
- When I was in 1st grade, I told Walter Cronkite "We have to watch your show at our house all the time and sometimes it's really boring!"
- I do not find the 40's to be "the new 30's"
- My Mom wanted to name me "Almanzo", but my Dad convinced her not to.
- My Mom and I followed my Dad's aircraft carrier from Mediterranean port to port when I was 3.
- I have a son named Carter Ross (Carter=Lyn's grandmother's maiden name/Ross=Lyn's other Grandmother's maiden name)
- I have a daughter named Jenna Claire (Jenna=short for Jenifer, my Mom's name/Claire because Lyn and I like that name)
- Lyn and I both grew up only children.
- Our Moms died within six weeks of each other in 1987 although we didn't know each other yet.
- Lyn went to Vanderbilt U. I applied to Vandy but was not accepted. If she had met me back then, no dice on #'s 10 and 11.
- My Mom's sisters are my heroes.
