This morning brings big news that Landmark Communications, parent company of Nashville's CBS affiliate WTVF-TV NewsChannel 5, is looking into selling the station as well as its other assets.

I worked at NewsChannel 5 for 7 years and Lyn has been there nearly 20. So it's quite a big announcement for us. I can just write personally that working at Channel 5 and by extension Landmark was an incredible professional and personal experience. Professionally, it offered me a job when I really needed one and offered opportunities for growth along the way that ultimately lead me to what I'm doing now. Of course personally Channel 5 means more because that's where I met Lyn. As I've often said, she interviewed me for the job and I ended up getting the job and a wife out of the deal! And that's one thing about Channel 5 - when you're there it seems like you're part of a big family. And sometimes it really turns out to be reality.
