Workplace pranksters!

So I took a Friday off to move from Bellevue to Brentwood.  Little did I know another move was going on inside my office.

I don't have to tell you the first thing that went through my mind when I unlocked my door and saw my office had been cleaned out.  But then I saw signs directing me...everywhere...but eventually I found where I'd been re-located.

While I was moving ALL my stuff from the can down the hall, I told myself that they must really like me if they took the time to move my office to the toilet.

In a time of war, hatred and curses rules

My daily reading today was Psalm 58 in The Message - a Psalm of David in which he may be referring to his enemy Saul.

God, smash their teeth to bits,
      leave them toothless tigers.
   Let their lives be buckets of water spilled,
      all that's left, a damp stain in the sand.
   Let them be trampled grass
      worn smooth by the traffic.
   Let them dissolve into snail slime,
      be a miscarried fetus that never sees sunlight.
   Before what they cook up is half-done, God,
      throw it out with the garbage!

Reading this reminded me first of the curse that any one of us would cast upon those terrorists who have and continue to attack us.  But then again, aren't they wishing the same on us?

When people are in a time of war and personal attack, as David was at the time, this is the kind of hatred that flows in every direction.  Are some righteous in saying these things?  Maybe.  Was David? He brought a lot on himself.  Is the US?  Are Islamic extremists?

What good can come from wishing such evil in response to evil?

This I do understand...and I'm guilty as charged.  The thought that ANYONE would drive up my street and sit there doing something nasty on my WAN is silly to me.  Now, I'm not sure it rises to the level of "safety alert" unless this "wardriving" runs over my dog or something like that.
